press release:

Continuing on with an international agenda, ICR pushes forward with his Misspent Music digital imprint. In the latest installment, the Hungarian label head invites SUB, a cornerstone in the Austrian drumfunk scene, for the eleventh release. SUB's four-track 'Cerberus EP' is a guaranteed adrenaline-fueled journey for all fans of tight, intricate drumwork. With ecstatic, complex drum edits and patterns (which operate on two different tempos), the lead track "Cerberus" immediately takes the listener's pulse to a higher level. On "Ode In The Back" we discover an elegant rhythm section, electrified effects, and melodic strings reminiscent of classic PHOTEK's smooth, jazzy sound. CYCOM's remix of "The King" brings forth tension in its sinister soundscapes and breaks with the sharpness of Samurai swords - a signature sound within the German producer's work. Last but not least, the label boss' version of "The Shadow" eases up the tempo to successfully round out the EP with a less breaky, more Neurofunk ending. ~ words by KuLi/Stunna

format: 12"

Label boss Justice teams up with debutant, long time engineer and associate Momentum to bring the uber minimal, bit crunched 2 stepper. AA/ Identity Fragment- ICR finds the Hungarian wizard and Misspent musical youth at his usual intricate beat trickery and multiple layers. It starts off in a minimal sci-fi way morphing quickly into a tribal stylings, building towards epic strings at the end. Full of atmospheric goodness, it takes you on a journey and is a slice of fresh clever d & b. Both tracks have received support from Sinistarr, Flight, Fanu, Code,Stunna, Grooverider, Buzzby, LXC and has had heavy rotation on Bassdrive, Kunningmindz etc.
