Paul Reset’s notes:

For the second of our Mp3 only releases we were very pleased to welcome onboard another amazing drum n bass producer from Hungary – ICR.

This man is one of the the most prolific drum n bass producers ever to fire up a sequencer. I’d started chatting to him online and he sent me amazing tune after amazing tune and I thought “Words” just had to come out on Nerve. It was perfect for us – tough beats and bass with an epic spooky breakdown and an eerie almost unsettling atmosphere. Amazing stuff.

For the flip we went for the more spacey beats of “Arcadia” – a bit on the lighter side but by no means a weaker track.

We released a few more ICR outings and more on those later. For now I recommend you check outICR’s site and his new label Misspent Music.

At The Shores EP

artist: Implant
title: At The Shores / Reflection / End Of A Decade / ~ (ICR remix)
label: Misspent Music
catalogue: MISSPENT013
format: digital download
date: 07/2009
country: Hungary

"Man cannot discover new oceans unless he has the courage to lose sight of the shore." ~ Andre Gide
press release:
To continue its mission, ICR's label is back to introduce another hot new talent from the strong, everfresh hungarian scene. Implant has been involved in the local nightlife for many years as a promoter, DJ and regular contributor at drumandbass.hu. Now he's debuting as a producer with a 4-track EP that clearly represents his deep and soulful endge of dnb with rich musical variety. "At The Shores" is a beautifully crafted halfstep tune with melancolic guitar riffs, pianos and distored bass creating a unique, mellow atmosphere. "Reflection" harkens back to the sounds of earlier Klute, and "End Of A Decade" and its ICR remix is best described with Cycom's words: techstep evolved. 013 may be a lucky number for anyone who purchase it.

"Absolutely love this ep! Fave tracks are Reflection and End of a Decade remix - quality top drawer drum n bass!" ~ Paul Reset, Nerve
"Techstep evolved, great vibe!" ~ Cycom, Santorin

If you're familiar with my recent music you may be interested to download and listen them. Big thanks to Beatplexity for hosting!

Previously on Glack Audio (Part 1)

artist: V.A.
title:
Previously on Glack Audio (Pt1)
label: Glack Audio
catalogue: GLAU010A
format: digital download
date: 07/2009
country: Hungary

info:
10 releases might not be too much, other labels may churn out double this number but we're happy and proud for Glack Audio has reached this milestone. We thought we shall reflect on the last 2 years' productions but not in a form of a 'back catalouge' compilation (we find that a bit boring) but asking a few top-notch hungarian producers to remix the Glack Audio tracks so far released.

The 'Previously On Glack Audio EP' will be released in 3 instalments during the summer and will feature remixes in different styles.
The first part of the EP will include: The talented breakbeat producer Aeron Aether (Morphosis records, Silk Digital) created an atmospheric yet energetic rethink on Flack.su's T-Break while the up-and-coming drum&bass producer Zero Method (DSCI4) has done a dubstep remix on Bennie Project's dark and moody Fleshwound.
The curiosity about this EP is that one of the label bosses Flack.su took his remix of ICR: Lack Of Tomorrows and has a re-shuffle on that. A remix remixed? Let's think of it as a VIP version.

This release is a sort of a milestone for us and we would like to use this opportunity to thank everyone all the support, trust and all the constructive criticism!

tracklist:
1. Flack.su - T-Break (Aeron Aether Remix) [7:21]
2. Bennie Project - Fleshwound (Zero Method Remix) [6:00]
3. ICR - Lack Of Tomorrows (Flack's Second Try) [6:33]

artist: ICR
title: Feels Like Spring / Tingle Tangle
label: Misspent Music
catalogue: MISSPENT012
format: digital download
date: 05/2009
country: Hungary

"The spring is my love, There is a spring rezzling in the trees, Felt my heart was delighted, rebirth of all kind, Sceneries which fulfill my soul, It will tranqually last forever in my mind" ~ RMB - Spring
press release:

In the footsteps of his debut release on Misspent, ICR is back again with two long-forgotten, yet highly-coveted tracks. Both "Feels Like Spring" and "Tingle Tangle" were lost for eons in a label's "forthcoming" folder. Not to worry though, as the seasons change, spring brings forth their time to blossom. After Sub's cold, winter release, Misspent 012 is all about uplifting and emotive textures. This colorful and vibrant offering is sure to put smiles on dancers' faces as they open up windows and let the fresh sounds in.

Sub - Cerberus EP

artist: Sub
title: Cerberus / Ode In The Back / The King (Cycom rmx) / The Shadow (ICR rmx)
label: Misspent Music
catalogue: MISSPENT011
format: digital download
date: 04/2009
country: Hungary

"Hence loathed Melancholy, / Of Cerberus and blackest Midnight born." ~ John Milton

Tracklist:

A. Cerberus
B. Ode In The Back
C. The King (Cycom remix)
D. The Shadow (ICR remix)

press release:

Continuing on with an international agenda, ICR pushes forward with his Misspent Music digital imprint. In the latest installment, the Hungarian label head invites SUB, a cornerstone in the Austrian drumfunk scene, for the eleventh release. SUB's four-track 'Cerberus EP' is a guaranteed adrenaline-fueled journey for all fans of tight, intricate drumwork. With ecstatic, complex drum edits and patterns (which operate on two different tempos), the lead track "Cerberus" immediately takes the listener's pulse to a higher level. On "Ode In The Back" we discover an elegant rhythm section, electrified effects, and melodic strings reminiscent of classic PHOTEK's smooth, jazzy sound. CYCOM's remix of "The King" brings forth tension in its sinister soundscapes and breaks with the sharpness of Samurai swords - a signature sound within the German producer's work. Last but not least, the label boss' version of "The Shadow" eases up the tempo to successfully round out the EP with a less breaky, more Neurofunk ending. ~ words by KuLi/Stunna
