The "very various artists" anniversary Alphacut.

Full title: Alphacut Records proudly presents its anniversary release Alphacut Ten.

This was made in 2010 at Randmuzik, Leipzig.
Including no less than 111 locked grooves by 111 artists divided into eighteen and a half groups of six loops each identified with group letters a to s and loops as a to f.
The first thirtysix loops have been made for 33 rpm use.
All the following grooves may or may not run at 45 rpm.

Side A: 45 RPM.
Side B: 001 aa to 036 ff: 33 ⅓ RPM and 037 ga to 111 sc: 45 RPM.

Fluorescent orange 12" vinyl.
Two-color silk-screen custom-made die-cut cover.
Limited to handnumbered 333 copies.
The first 112 copies have been given to the artists as listed in tracklist.

Drum & bass and science have always been natural partners. From the halcyon days of jungle producers have pushed the technical boundaries of their equipment, slicing up samples and squeezing every last piece of processing power from their studios. Meanwhile producers looked to the world of academia to find names for their tracks, their albums and even their own production monikers.

In the heady days of rave 2010 seemed like the future and the mid90s D&B era was the soundtrack to that future. Now it almost feels that partnering the words futuristic and drum & bass is a cliché of epic proportions.

Misspent Music is here to celebrate with two full length albums. First off Missing Pieces is an emotionally driven, twisted collection of European drum & bass and IDM encompassing everything the label stands for. The sampler consists two of the labels earlier signings, latvian Salmz and hungarian Faalb joined forces remixing each others tracks - their sounds make complete the IDM/dubstep ingredients of the album.
